Word 2011 also provides themes-customizable palettes of fonts, colors, and paragraph formatting, which can be applied to any number of document types and which can therefore make different documents (envelopes and brochures as well as letterhead and reports) visually consistent. The downloadable templates include some from professional designers. Some of those templates come bundled with the program, others are available via download. Word offers the best selection of high-quality templates, for several different types of documents. In fact, it took me a good 20 minutes to find a single template suitable for the task at hand. But, since many of these templates are created by other Google Docs users, their quality is pretty poor. Google Docs offers by far the largest selection of templates-literally thousands. But the number and quality of these templates vary considerably. Newsweek has reached out to Google's press team and will update this story with any response. All to say, that's a lot of folks relying on Google Docs to do everyday tasks. "More than 3 million paying businesses are now using G Suite to collaborate smartly and securely in the cloud." The company also said that its G Suite for Education had some 70 million users worldwide. "G Suite achieved a significant new customer milestone last quarter," Google CEO Sundar Pichai said this year, via TechCrunch.
Google reported that millions of businesses pay to use its G Suite, which includes Google Docs. Google Docs's apparent crash was particularly challenging for those who work in media, who rely on the service to create and edit articles. (Later, the issues appeared to be resolved, while other users still reported problems loading the service.) Many across the internet said they were getting a 502 error message.
